Why Square Tube Is Different
A round tube supports itself evenly as it bends. A square or rectangular section does not — the flat walls want to bow inward or outward, and the corners want to distort. The key to bending square tube cleanly is die design: the bend die, clamp die and pressure die have to be cut to the exact section so they hold all four walls through the bend. Without that specific tooling, even a good machine leaves a deformed section — which is why a square pipe bender is really defined by its die set, not just the machine.

Square tube bending is mostly a fabrication and furniture job.
